“The sexiest night on television” “the most beautiful women in the world” “the most attractive show of the year” We’re not at a loss for superlatives to describe the Victoria’s Secret fashion show 2011 that will be broadcasted on November, 29th.
Supermodels wearing wings, the skimpiest of lingerie and lashings of sparkle - the Victoria's Secret show was more decadent than ever for 2011, costing a reported $12 million, featuring 38 Angels and an array of high octane performances!
How has become Victoria’s Secret such a successful brand?
Victoria's Secret began making women look great in seductive lingerie in 1977, but it took time to really take off. In 1999 the company took a bold and sexy step to promote itself further. At its fourth annual fashion show, the company unveiled the Victoria's Secret Angels, a group of first-class models who would wear the lingerie on runways and in advertisements while taking on additional roles as company spokeswomen.
Adriana Lima, Miranda Kerr, Candice Swanepoel, Brooklyn Decker, Ana Beatriz Barros, Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks, Bar Refaeli, and Heidi Klum are a handful of exotic beauties and some of the most beautiful women on the planet.
The Victoria’s secret models earn high degree of prestige on the modelling scale. The Angels received further recognition for their success in 2007, when they were given their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, making them the only trademarked group to receive such an honour!
No doubt that Victoria’s Angels are a key ingredient in the company’s success. But they’re more than just beautiful women, they have also given women permission to strut, look sexy, and still retain their wholesome “naughty but nice girl” image. A celebration of fashion, beauty and women…
