Global warming may be responsible for erratic weather patterns all around the world, with droughts in normally wet areas and snow in places that has never experienced it before. Yet, it would be very unlikely that you’ll find snow in this tropical island we call Singapore. So what do you do if you’re craving for some fun in the cold, making snowmen and throwing snowballs at each other?

Well, you head to Snow City that is! Singapore’s first indoor snow centre, the Snow City is located within the Singapore Science Centre in Jurong East. Now it will be a little far for those living in the east but you don’t get snow at East Coast Park or anywhere else in the east so the journey will be worth it!

Alex made a trip to Snow City to spend some quality time with her family. Without any winter in Singapore, Snow City is just the place to enjoy the cool feeling of snow, just like how it was back in Europe. Her daughter, Albane, certainly enjoyed the snowy environment there, as any child would. Here are a few photos of their time at Snow City.
